Here are the Bank Owned and Short Sale Listings that
sold during December in Indian River County. Out of 94 single family homes 19 were either
Foreclosures or Short Sales. No Condos or townhomes out of the 23 sold in December were
listed as Short Sales or Lender Owned.
I have seen an increase in the number
of inquires for listings and showings just after Christmas. The decrease in interest rates
to a 27 year low is prompting buyers to take advantage of both historically low rates and
prices.
Please note from the chart below that
listings are selling close to their listing price, indicating some competition for good
deals. Pre-approval for financing and acting quickly are critical for
success.
