Many national sites will also list Vero Beach FL homes in "pre-foreclosure". These homes may not be for sale as the owner may be working on a "deed in lieu of foreclosure" with the lender. The "pre-foreclosure" homes may also be listed as a short sale - the owner still holds title and is still trying to sell before the final auction date.

Some sites will also list homes as foreclosures after the bank has filed a "lis pendens" - basically meaning they are several months behind on payments. The owner may cure the default or do nothing. Either way it can be years before the so called "foreclosure" is available to purchase. Call me for an accurate picture of the Vero Beach Real Estate Market and avoid the media hype!
